VETORA is a large, modern and diverse veterinary club practice, currently employing 35 veterinarians operating from five clinics in the Waikato region.
We have a fixed term vacancy to cover maternity leave in our Otorohanga clinic for a Veterinary Technician / Nurse. This role is for 40 hours per week with a rostered Saturday morning component.
The successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out large animal technician services on dairy farms/grazing blocks, laboratory work and administrative support. The technician role is physically demanding and a good level of fitness is required.
The nursing side will involve the day to day responsibility for nursing duties, including assisting with consults and any treatments or surgery, patient care and management, client liaison, managing client information and stock control, as well as general clinic administrative tasks, including reception and sales as required.
We require an enthusiastic team member focused on customer service and support with the motivation to develop new services to complement those already offered by the practice.
We are looking for applicants with both a certificate in Rural AnimalTechnology and a National Certificate in Veterinary Nursing (or its equivalent) However, consideration will be given to those with a technician qualification only.
