We are looking for an enthusiastic large animal veterinarian to join our Vetora clinic in Te Awamutu. We are open for negotiation in terms of hours per week (full time position also available)

Our experienced team of veterinarians have been providing quality care for over 75 years.

Large Animal Technician/ Veterinary Nurse - Hamilton

Are you committed to providing exceptional animal care and customer service within a high performing team?  This could be the role you are looking for.

VETORA is a large, modern and diverse club veterinary practice, currently employing 30 veterinarians operating from five clinics in the Waikato region.

We have a vacancy in our Hamilton clinic for a Veterinary Technician that can also step into the role of Veterinary Nurse if necessary.

The successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out large animal technician services on dairy farms/grazing blocks, laboratory work and administrative support. The technician role is physically demanding and a good level of fitness is required.

Vet nursing component of this role will involve assisting with consults and any treatments or surgery, patient care and management, client liaison, managing client information and stock control, as well as general clinic administrative tasks, including reception and sales as
required.

Applicants must have a Certificate in Rural Animal Technology, and ideally a National Certificate in Veterinary Nursing (or its equivalent), or previous relevant experience.

Client Care / Customer Services - Te Awamutu

VETORA Waikato is a farmer owned vet club practice. With clinics in Te Awamutu, Hamilton, Otorohanga, Putaruru and Cambridge and with a team of over 75 staff, we offer a comprehensive range of veterinary products and services throughout the Waikato.

We are currently looking for a Client Care – Customer Services person for our Te Awamutu clinic. 

This is a pivotal role in our clinic, and you will need to be able to multi-task in a busy environment servicing both our farming and small animal clients.

Working with two other customer service staff, this fast paced role will include attending to customers at the counter and booking appointments, liaising with our vets regarding appointment scheduling, answering phones, ordering stock and some inventory management responsibilities.

You will have the skill and empathy to positively interact with our customers with a high degree of professionalism.

Our ideal candidate would also have proven customer service and sales experience and exposure to a rural environment would be advantageous. This is a full time position and includes a rostered Saturday morning component.
