ROTORUA - LARGE ANIMAL VETERINARIAN

Are you keen for a change and looking for a senior farm vet role where you can just get on with the job, back your judgement, and work within a great team?

At Vetora BOP, we’re a farmer-owned vet club practice, and we’re after an experienced large animal vet to join our team. Our farming clients are mainly dairy (average herd size ~420 cows), who are after practical advice from vets who know what they’re talking about.

You’ll be out on farm where it matters—working alongside farmers on herd health, production issues, and the real-world challenges that don’t always come out of a textbook. This is a role where you can build genuine, long-term relationships with on-farm decision makers and become the vet they trust.

We’ve got a good crew—experienced vets, techs, and support staff who are there for each other, share knowledge freely, and take pride in doing a solid job. It’s a team where you can both contribute and keep learning, with scope to mentor newer vets. Your contribution will be valued, respected, and become part of something that’s built to last.

We’ll make sure you’re well supported, properly equipped, and fairly rewarded. Just as importantly, we’ll make sure you’ve got balance – because a good vet is one who has a life outside the job too.

Rotorua is a great base if you’re into the outdoors—lakes, forests, hot pools, fishing, mountain biking— it’s all right there. It’s an easy place to put down roots and become part of the community with everything you would expect in a much larger city, including a range of excellent schools and sports/cultural clubs for a growing family.

As a profit for purpose vet club, what we earn goes back into our people, our business andour farming communities — not shareholders. That’s something we’re proud of.

If you’re a capable farm vet who enjoys the work, values good client relationships, and want to be part of a grounded, supportive team – we’d love to hear from you
